Measure the liquid

Pour the desired liquid (water, tea, juice, milk, or soup) into a cup. Cold or warm liquids both work — under 60°C is recommended.

Add the thickener

Using the dosage table, measure the right amount of Clear Thickener and sprinkle evenly over the surface of the liquid.

Stir for 30 seconds

Stir briskly with a spoon or whisk for about 30 seconds until the powder is fully dissolved with no visible clumps.

Let it set

Let stand for 1 to 5 minutes (depending on target consistency) so the thickener can fully take effect, then serve.

保管方法

Store in a cool, dry place (below 25 °C) away from direct sunlight and moisture. Once opened, reseal tightly and use within 3 months. Shelf life: 24 months from date of manufacture (unopened). Do not refrigerate — condensation can cause clumping.

How long does it take for Clear Thickener to reach the target consistency?+

30 seconds of stirring is needed for full dissolution. The thickened liquid continues to stabilise over the next 1–5 minutes. For clinical use, allow 5 minutes before serving.

Can I use Clear Thickener in hot drinks?+

Yes — it works in liquids up to 60 °C. Above that temperature the xanthan gum begins to denature, which may reduce viscosity. For hot soup, let the liquid cool slightly before adding the thickener.

Why does my thickened drink look slightly foamy after stirring?+

Vigorous stirring can incorporate air bubbles. This is harmless — let the drink stand for 1–2 minutes and the foam dissipates naturally.

Will it change the taste of the drink?+

No. Clear Thickener is formulated to be flavour-neutral. The erythritol component provides a very mild, clean mouthfeel with no perceptible sweetness at clinical dosing levels.

Can it be used with tube-fed patients?+

No — Clear Thickener is designed for oral intake only. It is not suitable for enteral feeding tubes.

Does the thickener keep thickening over time?+

Unlike starch-based thickeners (which continue to thicken for 30+ minutes), xanthan gum reaches its target viscosity within 5 minutes and remains stable. This eliminates the risk of over-thickening after serving.

Is it safe for diabetic patients?+

Yes — the maltodextrin carrier is present at dosing levels (1–5 g per 100 ml) that contribute minimal glycaemic load. The erythritol component has zero glycaemic impact. Consult the patient's dietitian for individualised assessment.
